1. What Information Does Meowdown Collect?

Meowdown is designed to be fun and private. We collect only what is necessary for the game to work.

  • Device ID – Automatically generated when you first open the game. Stored on your device and in our Firebase database.
  • Username – You choose a display name (or accept a random one). Stored linked to your Device ID.
  • Game stats (wins, losses, total games) – Automatically recorded after each match, linked to your Device ID.
  • Microphone audio – Accessed only during active battles. Never stored or uploaded – processed entirely on your device.
  • Notification permission – Asked at first launch; stored locally only. You can enable/disable anytime.
  • Sound & vibration settings – Your preferences stored locally; you can change them in game settings.
  • Advertising ID – Collected by ad networks (e.g., Google AdMob) to serve relevant ads.

2. How Do We Use Your Data?

  • Device ID + Username – To identify you on the leaderboard and track your stats.
  • Microphone – To measure the loudness of your meow/shout during battle. No recording, no speech recognition, no cloud upload.
  • Notifications – To optionally inform you about challenges or when your ad‑free time ends. You can turn this off in Android settings.
  • Vibration & Sound – To enhance game feel. You can disable both in the game’s settings screen.
  • Advertising ID – To show relevant ads and manage rewarded video frequency.

3. Do You Need to Create an Account?

No. There is no email, password, or social login. You simply pick a display name (or accept a random one). That name and your Device ID are stored together – that’s it.

4. Microphone Permission – Important Note

  • Meowdown requests RECORD_AUDIO permission only when you enter a battle.
  • The permission is never used in the background or outside of a battle.
  • You can deny the permission; the game will explain that you need it to fight.

5. Advertising & “Remove Ads for 1 Hour”

Meowdown is free and supported by ads. Types of ads:

  • Banner ads (bottom of screen)
  • Interstitial ads (full‑screen, appear between battles)
  • Rewarded video ads – You may choose to watch a short video to remove all ads for 1 hour. This is optional – no purchase required.

When you watch a rewarded ad, the ad network may collect interaction data. We do not store or access that data.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Your data (Device ID, username, game stats) is kept indefinitely on Firebase unless you request deletion.
  • To delete your data, email ticherhaz@gmail.com with subject “Meowdown Data Deletion” and include your username (or Device ID, which you can see in the game’s Settings screen).
  • We will delete all associated data within 30 days.

8. Children’s Privacy

Meowdown is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to opt out of ad personalisation. To exercise these rights, email ticherhaz@gmail.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The latest version will always be available in the game (via the Privacy Policy button). Continued use of the game means you accept the changes.
